Before you restick your cricut or silhouette cutting mat it s important to tape around all the edges.
Apply plain rubbing alcohol or goo gone on the surface then go over it with a scrapper.
You want to make sure the mat is fully dry before applying the spray adhesive.
Tape off the edges of your mats to prevent spraying adhesive on the entire surface.

It s important to not make the edges sticky so they won t ruin the cutting machine.
Rinse the conditioner out and comb the glue out of your hair.
The glue stick had a smooth texture and the paper came off easily.
The spray adhesive was stickier and edges of the paper stuck to the mat.
Drag the silhouette mat over to the sink for a rinse.
You can test a small corner of your mat to make sure it is as sticky as you would like.
If you see that you haven t gotten all the old sticky mess off just repeat steps 2 4 until it s nice and clean.
Step 1 remove any remaining stickiness to ensure the adhesive spray will evenly coat the mat.
Blotting a few times with a t shirt prior to using the first time may help.
This can be an issue with new mats from silhouette as well.
If left uncovered while not in use the mat s adhesive surface may collect dust or other particles.
You want to make sure the mat is fully dry before applying the spray adhesive.
Before applying any of these to your mat make sure you put tape around your edges.
You can also put tape on your fingers and dab your mat like you are using a lint roller.
While this will not apply a new adhesive coating to the mat it should ensure that the cutting mat is clean.
If the mat is too sticky you can use a t shirt to slightly dull the adhesive.
Once the mat is dry you can then remove the tape and your mat should be as good as new.
Secure the edges of your cricut mat using masking or painter s tape.

In addition to cleaning the mat it is vital to replace the cutting mat s liner on top of the sticky surface when not in use.
This is to prevent any adhesive that is added from getting onto the edges which may interfere with your machine s rollers.
Rinse the oil out in the shower then put hair conditioner in your wet hair and let it sit under a towel for 20 minutes.
Remove glue from hair with oil and hair conditioner.
Lint rollers if you find your mat has lots of fuzzy lint on it use a lint roller across your mat.
Once the edges of the mat are taped use a spray adhesive or glue stick.
Rub olive oil baby oil or almond oil into your hair and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
Once clean dry with a towel and set to the side.
