The wax paper will prevent any excess oozed glue from sticking to each board.
But you can t install it until you cut off the bottom lip of both grooves and the side tongue.
Move to the right side and do the same.
The boards lock in on the ends as well as the sides.
Step 2 unscrew and remove the edge plate screws from the trim around the bolt with a philips screwdriver if reversing a deadbolt lock.

Minor warping can usually be corrected with heat and moisture only but for more severe warping you may also need to apply pressure to the wood.
Cut or scrape excess glue off the lock with a utility knife.
Then snap it off with pliers.
Repair any broken areas you find with wood glue.
Insert the spindle in the opposite side of the door.
Remove the trim if possible at this point and set aside.
If you don t hear the click use the block of wood and soft rubber mallet to finish the connection.
Usually you put the tongue edge of the board into the groove press the board down and it snaps into place.
Gently tap the block of wood with the mallet.
Place the block on the left side of the outer piece of laminate.
The new plank has a groove at one end and one side as well as a tongue at the opposite end and side.
Make sure the spindle inserts through the latch and the screw posts insert through the smaller holes in the latch on each side of the spindle.
Finish the connection by tapping the center of the plank.
This has caused a lot of frustration for many people.
Score the tongue several times with a utility knife.
I have now discovered the fix for this issue which was actually right underneath our noses.

Applying additional moisture and heat to the opposite side of the warp can cause the wood to warp back into its original flat position effectively unwrapping the piece.
Left alone the glue may actually force the board out of its desired position.
