I ve got an elevations sheet with 4 elevations sheet a4 0 1.
Revit floor elevation without number.
This makes total sense and allows you to trace from a referencing view through a view tag telling you which sheet and detail number that view is on and back again the viewport knows which detail number it is and which sheet is referenced from.
This great post from the revit kid showcases how to use lineworks to get proper depth effect.
Please also note that revit can place spot elevations only along the edges of a shape edited floor.
How can i accomplish this.
Then copy and paste the embed code into your own web page.
Ok that is what revit wants.
I have found that it is best to think of the view port existing in all three dimensions simultaneously.
If you selected relative click ok and on the properties palette select the value for relative base.
On the properties palette click edit type.
Use this technique create identical elements on multiple floors levels.
Two of them have are blank where they should be showing the referencing sheet number the other two are showing incorrect referencing sheet numbers showing a1 1 5.
I m wanting them to reference the elevations sheet a4 0 1 because that s where the keyplan is.
Revit wants you to have a unique detail number for each viewport placed on a sheet.
When placing spot elevations onto the surface of a floor you get a stop symbol.
The elevation tags can be in different locations in different views without using fake tags.
To embed this screencast choose a size.
Why not use lineworks.
With respect to creating exterior elevation views of a building for example it is done in a floor plan view and by default revit creates a view port for which the elevation is captured and the view port exists in plan view as well.
A spot elevation can report elevations relative to project origin shared origin or a specified level.
Some hosting elements like walls.
Change the visual style to hidden line or another one which shows the surface of the floor.
How to copy revit elements from one floor to another.
Select elements to be copied in the active view plan section elevation or 3d view.
The visual style is set to wireframe or you are trying to annotate a point of face of a shape edited floor.
This is useful for a repeating floor plan or if you d like to copy elements from one level to another as a starting point for a floor plan.
This is a good technique if you have a lot of time and want the perfect elevation but i would rather use silhouettes since they can be included in a view template and applied to every elevation in a single click.
Great revit elevations faq.
